Martin Sideboard: Walnut Storage Behind a Wave-Carved Face
A sideboard earns its keep by holding everything and announcing nothing. The Martin manages both. Its walnut-finished MDF doors are carved with a rippling wave pattern that reads as texture from across the room and as craft up close, while curved side panels soften what could have been a plain box.
There are no handles anywhere. Press-spring doors open at a touch, leaving the front surface unbroken. Inside, the shelf repositions up or down to suit tall bottles, media boxes, or folded linens. The top carries up to 150 lbs, which covers most televisions, and the piece arrives in a single carton with its assembly kit.
