About Round Dining Tables

Round tables are one of the friendliest shapes in the house — there's no head of the table and no elbows jammed into corners, so conversation flows easily around the surface. Our collection includes solid wood pedestal tables like the Arthur and Tristan in a walnut finish, marble-top designs such as the Mandier and Balvi, and simpler pedestal styles from the Modway line for smaller dining rooms.

Sizing a round table to your room

A 47- to 48-inch round table comfortably seats four, while larger pedestal designs stretch to six. Leave at least three feet of clearance around the table edge for chairs to pull out and guests to pass behind seated diners.

Pedestal bases free up legroom compared to four-leg tables, which matters most in a smaller room where chairs need to tuck close. Whether you want the warmth of solid wood or the cooler look of marble and metal, a round table makes a compact dining room feel intimate instead of cramped.
