New York Modern products go through quality inspections before they ship. Our products are covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship; the length of coverage depends on the product and the manufacturer. For a free copy of the written warranty for any product, before or after you buy, email support@newyorkmodern.com.
If your item has a defect, email detailed photos and your order number. We work with the manufacturer on your behalf: a technician first attempts a repair, and if the item cannot be restored to like-new condition, a replacement is arranged. The warranty does not cover general wear and tear.

If a part on your chair breaks because of a manufacturing defect, we arrange the repair or replacement part at no cost. If a pet scratches the leather, that is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered, but we can offer replacement parts at cost.
Orders placed with a promotional 5-year warranty keep the terms of that promotion.

Can I have a sample of fabric swatches to be sure about my decision?
Sure thing! We're happy to send up to 4 fabric swatches of your choice! Please initiate a chat or email us at support@newyorkmodern.com with your request.
Do you have a physical retail store or showroom?
We don't have any showrooms. We are a Factory-Direct Business. No middleman! This allows us to keep our overhead down and offer the great pricing that you see. You have 30 days from delivery to return an item: every return needs a return authorization (RMA) first, and non-defective returns carry a 30% restocking fee plus return shipping. Are your products commercial grade?
Yes! All of our leather products are commercial grade. Many of our other products are suitable for commercial use as well. Please reach out to us via chat or at support@newyorkmodern.com if you have commercial suitability questions.
How long will it take to get my orders?
In-stock items ship within 1–3 business days. Shipping transit time is, on average, 5 to 14 business days depending on the size of your order and destination. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been shipped for a more accurate estimate with respect to transit time.

Where are your products manufactured?
We travel all over the world in search for craftsmen that will meet our customers needs. We currently work with manufacturers in Malaysia, Turkey, China and Indonesia. Our founders personally visit every single factory we work with on a regular basis and make sure they continue to meet our strict benchmarks for ethical business practices and quality control.
Do you use PBDE or flame retardants in your furniture?
No. None of our foam or fabrics contain PBDE or flame retardants and they are certified to be free of toxic gases. We strive to do what is best for the environment and safe for your home. All of our products are compliant with revised California technical bulletin TB-117-2013.
Do you offer financing?
Yes! You can pay over time with Affirm or Klarna at checkout, subject to eligibility (see affirm.com/disclosures for lending terms). You can prequalify for financing before checkout. Prequalifying does not affect your credit score.
E.g: At checkout select "Pay monthly with Affirm" to complete your application and receive your financing rates through Affirm.
How can I change or edit my order?
Email support@newyorkmodern.com within 24 hours of placing your order to change or cancel it with a full refund, unless the order has already left our warehouse. After 24 hours a 3% payment processing fee applies, and once an order is in transit or ready for delivery a cancellation receives a 70% refund. Changes may also move the estimated delivery date.
