Paloma: A Twist Carved in Solid Wood
This is a side table doing the work of a sculpture. The Paloma turns a column of solid wood into a spiralling twist, dark brown against a natural finish that lets the grain keep speaking through the form.
Because it is carved rather than assembled, the piece has no visible joinery to distract from the movement. The result is a small object with real presence, a piece of texture and shadow in a room that probably has enough flat surfaces already.
