Steel, not particleboard. The Hon is built from steel with a rust-proof white finish, which is why it can sit beside a bed for a decade without the swelling and sagging that eventually finds every laminate box.
Three drawers ride on full-extension slides that run silently and open completely, so the back of the drawer is reachable rather than theoretical. A small button handle keeps the front clean and uncluttered, and adjustable screws in the legs level it out on floors poured long before anyone cared about level.
