The base is the story here: wooden legs intersecting beneath a 47-inch circle, a structure you notice from across the room and appreciate every time you sit down. Crossroads is built from rubberwood and MDF and finished in a warm ash wood grain veneer that keeps the geometry from feeling severe.
It seats four comfortably, which makes it right for a kitchen, a breakfast nook, or the dining end of an open-plan apartment. The top carries up to 400 pounds, so the platters, the laptop and the elbows are all accounted for.
